Responsible for providing the strategic long and short term financial vision that supports the performance of all services lines of SpiriTrust Lutheran. Responsible for supervising the financial and information services of SpiritTrust Lutheran. Supporting the SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice Director of Finance, providing guidance and alignment on strategic financial initiatives as well as accounting and financing matters.
Assume corporate responsibilities designated by the President & CEO; ensure that Executive Cabinet and Boards clearly understands the financial performance of all of SpiriTrust Lutheran services lines; implement financial strategies to achieve SpiriTrust Lutheran’s annual operating plan; ensure compliance with operating standards and procedures and outside regulatory requirements; organizing the work, activities, and human resources of the department; directly supervising assigned staff; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports.
Education/Training: A B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field of study; CPA,; Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Skill(s): Speaks and understands English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; ability to think globally and strategically; ability to make independent decisions; working knowledge of third party reimbursement and billing relative to continuum of health care; strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); working knowledge of information services; demonstrated management and supervisory skills; visual and auditory skills; valid driver’s license.
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in related positions in the finance and/or health care industry.
